i have a question about my 87 vanagon if anyone has any ideas or suggestions i would appreciate the input. i recently replaced my slave cylander, master cylander, and the had to put on a new hydraulic line that connects the slave cylander to the the rest of the line to the clutch ( i'm not sure what that line is actually called, but i had to order it from the vw dealer so it is the right part). the problem is since i replaced all of these parts my vanagon won't go into gear once it is started up. i'm not sure why, i bled the line and i'm not sure what else to do. i don't want to start tearing apart the clutch and everything umnless i have to. to me it seems like it may be something easy to fix, hopefully i'm right. bscatfish The critical components on the shifting alignments are the two shafts that spline together just behind the fuel tank. the front shaft has small nylon covers on the front tips inside the shifting box( under shifter) inspect them and if worn to non existent then you will have to replace. Cheers Chas. Carroll
